Opening hours
We are open 365 days a year. Admission is possible until shortly before the park closes. Please note that the animal houses close approximately one hour before the park.
Your safety comes first: In severe weather, such as storms or icy conditions, we may close the park at short notice.

Day tickets in 2026
- Adult: €10.00
- Child (aged 2–16): €8.00
- Dog: €3.00 (short lead required; no access to the café or walk-through enclosures)
Tickets are also available in our online shop, including personalised gift tickets. The shop is in German.
Annual tickets
- Adult: €75.00
- Child (aged 2–16): €60.00
- Child with an accompanying person (aged 2–16): €135.00
- Dog: €25.00
Annual tickets purchased online include one extra week free.
Concessions: Free admission for an accompanying person where the disability ID shows B, H, aG or Bl. For nursery and school groups, one supervising adult is admitted free for every 15 children.

- Adult: €12.00
- Child (aged 2–16): €9.00
- Dog: €3.00 (short lead required; no access to the café or walk-through enclosures)

By car:
Take the Lehre exit from the A2 or the Cremlingen exit from the A39, then follow the signs for “Essehof” and “Tierpark”. Free parking is available.
By bus:
Bus 427 serves Essehof several times a day. Check the current timetable with Braunschweiger Verkehrs-GmbH.
Park rules
Please note: Do not bring your own animal feed, except finely chopped carrots. No plastic bags. Do not climb over fences. Keep dogs on a short lead. Smoking is permitted only in designated areas.
